One Ingredient

One ingredient. Zero shortcuts.

We brew whole flor de jamaica — the deep-red hibiscus Mexico has brewed for generations — hot and strong in small batches, then freeze-dry the fresh tea into a powder that disappears into cold water.

Each stick pack holds exactly one thing: the tea we brewed, minus the water.

  • Brewed, then freeze-dried — real small-batch tea, not a flavored mix
  • One ingredient — 100% hibiscus, no fillers, no "natural flavors"
  • Zero sugar, zero calories — nothing but flowers
  • Naturally rich in antioxidants and caffeine-free
  • Dissolves in cold water — no kettle, no steeping, no waiting

Freshness You Can See

Fresh hibiscus brews ruby-red. Stale hibiscus brews brown.

Freeze-drying locks the color of the fresh brew in place — so the moment your water turns is the freshness test. Every pouch is packed to order and marked with the date. No fine print required.

An Upstate Original

Named for the maidens of Walhalla

Walhalla is the little mountain town German settlers named for Valhalla — their "Garden of the Gods" — in 1850. In the old stories, the valkyries are the maidens of Valhalla. From ours, we send out the world's most beautiful flower: ruby-red, and ready in seconds.

Brewed, freeze-dried, and packed to order in Walhalla, South Carolina — and shipping only inside South Carolina, for now. Small-batch means we know where every pouch goes. If you're reading this from out of state: we'll get there.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How do I make it?

Tear one stick pack into 16–24 oz of plain cold water and give it a swirl. It dissolves in seconds and the water turns deep ruby-red — that's it. No heat, no steeping, no sweetener needed (though a squeeze of lime is wonderful).

What exactly is in it?

One ingredient: hibiscus (flor de jamaica). We brew whole dried flowers hot in small batches, then freeze-dry the fresh tea into an instant powder. No flavorings, no sweeteners, no fillers, no "natural flavors" — the powder is the tea, minus the water.

Why brew it hot and then freeze-dry it?

Hot brewing pulls the fullest color and flavor out of the flower — it's how Mexico has made agua de jamaica for generations. Freeze-drying then removes the water cold, without cooking the brew a second time, so what lands in your bottle tastes like the tea we actually made. You get the hot-brew depth with none of the wait.

Is there caffeine?

None. Hibiscus is naturally caffeine-free, so it works at any hour — it's the after-2pm drink that still feels like a treat.

What does it taste like?

Tart like cranberry, clean like water, with a floral finish. Stirred into cold water it stays crisp — none of the heaviness of a tea that's been sitting on a burner.

How fresh is "fresh," for a powder?

Hibiscus loses its color and its tartness as it sits on a shelf — that's why big-brand tea bags brew brown. We brew in small batches, freeze-dry the fresh tea, seal it into stick packs, and mark every pouch with the date. Then the proof is in your bottle: fresh hibiscus turns the water ruby-red the moment it hits.

Why South Carolina only?

We're a small-batch operation working out of Walhalla under South Carolina's home-based food law, which keeps us close to home while we grow. In-state only isn't a limitation we apologize for — it means the founding batch belongs to South Carolina.

When do I pay?

Not today. When your pouches are packed and ready to ship, we email you a secure card-payment invoice. Pay it and your order ships the next business day.
